Abstract
► Bilateral collicular interaction modulates amplitude tuning of IC neurons. ► 14% facilitated IC neurons are located in bilateral corresponding frequency laminae. ► 86% suppressed IC neurons are widespreadly located in different frequency laminae. ► Bilateral collicular suppression is greater in corresponding frequency laminae. ► This modulation may be involved in the formation of binaural property of IC neurons.
