Abstract
⺠Neonatal needle pricks increase mechanical hypersensitivity following inflammation. ⺠Neonatal repetitive needle pricking does not affect basal nociception in later life. ⺠Male rats are more vulnerable to the long-term consequences of neonatal pain exposure.
