Abstract
⺠4-Aminopyridine (4-AP) is a potent convulsant. ⺠We investigated the ictogenic potential of 4-AP in brain slices of pilocarpine treated rats. ⺠Incidence of seizure like events was reduced in the latent period and in chronic epileptic animals. ⺠Alterations of potassium channels may contribute to the reduced seizure susceptibility.
