Abstract
⺠We examine the neuroprotective effect of SMTP-7 on transient focal cerebral ischemia. ⺠SMTP-7 significantly reduced infarction volume 24 h after reperfusion. ⺠SMTP-7 reduced reactive oxygen species production and MMP-9 expression. ⺠SMTP-7 has the intrinsic neuroprotective effect on transient focal cerebral ischemia.
