Abstract
► High frequent stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus (STN HFS) was performed. ► C-Fos immunoreactive cells were counted in the deep cerebellar nuclei. ► C-Fos-ir cell counts were higher in the deep cerebellar nuclei in stimulated animals. ► Cerebellar nuclei are activated in STN HFS. ► Cerebellar nuclei may be involved in behavioural changes caused by STN HFS.
