Abstract
ⶠEvidence suggests that psychiatric patients are at an increased vascular risk. ⶠLow levels of soluble RAGE (sRAGE) indicate an increased risk of atherothrombosis. ⶠLevels of sRAGE were lower in schizophrenia, major depression and bipolar disorder. ⶠSoluble RAGE may contribute to cardiovascular risk in psychiatric patients.
