Abstract
ⶠIn the rat retina, AQP6 immunoreactivity is localized to the outer plexiform layer. ⶠAQP6 co-localizes with glial AQP4 around ribbon synapses. ⶠRetinal blue light injury causes a disappearance of AQP6-labeled ribbon synapses. ⶠLight injury results in redistribution of AQP6 into the inner retina.
