Abstract
▶ Native language influences behavioral categorical phonetic boundaries for voicing. ▶ Auditory LLRs reveal systematic changes in latency/amplitude with changes in VOT. ▶ Changes in LLR morphology do not correspond to perceptual categorical boundaries. ▶ LLR responses are related to acoustical changes in speech sounds. ▶ LLR responses are independent of phonetic categorization across language groups.
