Abstract
⺠Transmeningeal acetylcholine (Ach) induces seizures in the rat neocortex. ⺠Transmeningeal muscimol can prevent Ach-induced neocortical seizures in rats. ⺠Daily transmeningeal muscimol maintains its antiepileptic efficacy for 3 weeks. ⺠Periodic transmeningeal muscimol does not induce tolerance for 3 weeks.
