Abstract
â¶ Brand names tend to be processed through semantic routes. â¶ Brand names are represented in the lexical system of both hemispheres. â¶ Brand names share some linguistic features of proper names and nonwords. â¶ English brand names and the Chinese translations are processed similarly at the semantic level.
