Abstract
â¶ Intra-ventral hippocampus of saredutant produced anxiolytic-like effects. â¶ Low dose of saredutant (10Â pmol) reduced avoidance of the threat stimulus. â¶ Saredutant weakly modified defensive behaviors in mice confronted by a rat. â¶ Saredutant injected into the ventral hippocampus reduced the inhibitory defenses. â¶ Hippocampal tachykinergic mechanisms modulate aversive responses.
