Abstract
⺠We examine the effects of NPY on Ca2+ channels in submandibular ganglion. ⺠NPY facilitates L-type Ca2+ channels via Gαs-protein involving protein kinase A. ⺠NPY inhibits N/P/Q-type Ca2+ channels via Gαi-protein βγ subunits.
