Abstract
												⺠We determined the specific site within the LOT that dictates olfactory function. ⺠Rats received rostrocaudal transection at different levels of the LOT. ⺠Rats were divided into two groups based on their olfactory discriminative abilities. ⺠Critical site for olfaction of the LOT is 2.5 mm from the middle cerebral artery.
