Abstract
⺠Expression of Cx57 in the olfactory epithelium is demonstrated using three research approaches. ⺠In the olfactory epithelium, basal cells and olfactory neurons express Cx57. ⺠Cx57 is expressed in juxtaglomerular cells, mitral cells and granule cells in the olfactory bulb. ⺠Patterned distribution of Cx57 positive cells are described. ⺠Immunoreactivity of Cx57 is weaker in the olfactory system compared to the retina.
