Abstract
► Spinal motor functions of the μ-opioid receptor agonist DAMGO were tested. ► The main DAMGO action is generated via interneuronal systems. ► μ-Opioidergic spinal functions are extensively involved in spinal motor control. ► The DAMGO action exceeds a mere suppression of withdrawal reactions.
