Abstract
► We compile data across 12 published studies of pure-tone frequency discrimination. ► We model the dependence of difference limens on frequency, duration, and level. ► We use Bayesian methods to precisely estimate the model parameters and compare models. ► We provide a new formula relating difference limens to frequency, duration, and level. ► We consider implications for place and timing models of frequency discrimination and pitch.
