Abstract
⺠Early amikacin-induced deafness affects ascending projections to inferior colliculus. ⺠Deafness reduces the projections from the cochlear nucleus to inferior colliculus. ⺠The reduction is more pronounced with more extended periods of postnatal deafness. ⺠There is no reduction in projections from the dorsal nucleus of lateral lemniscus.
