Abstract
► Humans and monkey sensitivity to amplitude modulated (AM) noise was measured. ► Macaques were less sensitive at low AM frequencies and short stimulus durations. ► Humans had lower frequency regions of peak AM sensitivity than macaques. ► The results demonstrate species differences in temporal processing among primates.
