Abstract
⺠Humans and monkey sensitivity to amplitude modulated (AM) noise was measured. ⺠Macaques were less sensitive at low AM frequencies and short stimulus durations. ⺠Humans had lower frequency regions of peak AM sensitivity than macaques. ⺠The results demonstrate species differences in temporal processing among primates.
