Abstract
⺠Ultrasonic hearing is masked by high frequency air-conducted sounds. ⺠Effective frequency for the masking changes, depending on the intensity. ⺠Maximum audible frequency is associated with the threshold of ultrasonic hearing. ⺠The peripheral perceptual region of ultrasonic hearing is located in the cochlea. ⺠Excitation by bone-conducted ultrasound fast spreads to the low frequency range.
