Abstract
Friedel-Crafts acylation of 1,3-dibenzyloxybenzene with acetic anhydride to 3,5-dibenzyloxyacetophenone leads to 100% selectivity under certain conditions by using 20% Cs2.5H0.5PW12O40/K-10 clay and the catalyst deactivation can be suppressed by cleaver strategies of operating parameters.
