Abstract
⺠We describe the antitermitic and antioxidant activities of Hymenaea stigonocarpa. ⺠We isolated flavonoids: hultenin, taxifolin, quercetin and 7-methoxycathequin. ⺠The flavonoids were elucidated on the basis of NMR spectral analyses. ⺠The activities decreases: extract > quercetin > 7-methoxycathequin > taxifolin > hultenin. ⺠The extractives give the H. stigonocarpa heartwood natural resistance.
