Abstract
⺠Ethyl acetate-soluble extractives protect Bagassa guianensis wood against fungi. ⺠Fractions were active against wood-degrading fungi and human pathogens. ⺠The composition of the most active fraction in the extract was determined. ⺠Among six isolated compounds, two moracins 3 and 4 were the most active. ⺠Synergistic mechanisms exist between moderately active polyphenols and biocides.
