Abstract
⺠It is first report for the adaptation of an Egyptian soil to atrazine mineralization. ⺠Arthrobacter sp. TES6 transforming atrazine to cyanuric acid was characterized. ⺠trzN, atzB and atzC gene combination accords with cyanuric acid accumulation. ⺠This study raises questions about the pandemic dispersion of the trzN, atzBC genes.
