Abstract
⺠Fungus Paecilomyces marquandii had an excellent ability for zinc and lead uptake. ⺠A dominant role of metabolism dependent microprecipitation was detected. ⺠Both metals were crystallized as hydrocarbonates. ⺠Metals complexation by carboxyl and amide groups from cell wall was also involved. ⺠Ion exchange can be important in the case of lead binding.
