Abstract
► We examined short-term and diurnal salt secretion rates of Tamarix ramosissima. ► Factors controlling the salt secretion rates were investigated. ► The diurnal secretion rate showed the higher values during the day. ► Salt secretion rates were likely related to evapotranspiration rate. ► Solar radiation was the most influential factor on the secretion rates.
