Abstract
⺠Joshua tree seeds are primarily dispersed by scatter hoarding rodents. ⺠Rodents remove Joshua tree seeds directly from indehiscent seed pods and hoard them in small caches. ⺠Burial by rodents enhances the probability of Joshua tree seed germination in arid environments. ⺠Joshua tree seeds do not appear to be dispersed by abiotic means.
