Abstract
⺠I measured effects of prairie dog activities on birds, mammals, and vegetation. ⺠Prairie dogs greatly modifed shortgrass prairie habitat structure. ⺠Habitat changes benefitted six bird/mammal species, but hindered six others. ⺠At the landscape scale, prairie dog activities increased biodiversity.
