Abstract
⺠Semi-arid ecosystem disturbance decreases diversity of mycorrhizal (M) populations. ⺠Native drought-adapted M fungi have been selected for inoculation purposes. ⺠Using plant species from natural succession is fundamental for M inoculation success. ⺠M inoculation improves plant cover and soil quality recovery in degraded areas. ⺠M fungi propel processes governing community dynamics in Semi-arid ecosystems.
