Abstract
► Saltbushes always resprouted vigorously after being browsed by the sheep flock. ► Grazing constrained saltbush growth in volume, but made shrubs more compact. ► Fodder production and the percentage of fodder in shrubs were not affected by grazing. ► Grazing increased the moisture content of shrub shoots in the summer. ► Overall, Atriplex halimus responded very positively to repeated seasonal grazing.
