Abstract
⺠We examine egg size variation of 5 walleye populations in the Great Lakes region. ⺠Inter-population > within-population egg size variation. ⺠Egg size appears to maximize at intermediate female age and length. ⺠Population mean egg size may correspond to primary production of spawning habitats.
