Abstract
⺠LOTOX2 is a Lake Ontario mass balance and bioaccumulation model for total PCBs. ⺠LOTOX2 has been calibrated to PCB data in water, sediments, and lake trout. ⺠The lake is not yet at steady-state with current loads because of sediment feedback. ⺠With 2005 load held constant, it will take > 50 yrs for tPCBs in lake trout to reach steady-state. ⺠With zero loads from 2005, tPCBs in lake trout will reach 0.05 ppm in ~ 40 yrs.
