Abstract
► Fjord lakes have complex bathymetry (multiple arms, multiple basins) and are deep. ► Heat budget dominated by radiative fluxes; rivers are thermally insignificant. ► River TS characteristics can be used to trace the fate of inflowing rivers. ► Lake surface temperature during the summer is highly spatially variable. ► Autumn overturn is more effective than spring overturn at ventilating deep water.
