Abstract
⺠There were no differences in species richness or abundance among shoreline types. ⺠Riparian zone type did not affect fish species richness or abundance. ⺠Instream microhabitat was more important than riparian zone or shoreline type. ⺠Natural shorelines were underrepresented and should be explored in greater detail. ⺠Shoreline restoration projects should include modifications to instream habitat.
