Abstract
► Huron-Erie Corridor (HEC) fish habitats declined due to channelization and dredging. ► We test genetic connectivity among HEC walleye spawning groups with 9 μsat loci. ► All spawning groups had similar diversity, with the most alleles in Lake St. Clair. ► Lake Huron walleye are very divergent, and a historic group spawns at Belle Isle. ► Walleye spawning at Fighting Island genetically changed following reef augmentation.
