Abstract
► Benthic samples were analyzed to determine invertebrate community patterns. ► Recent and historic data were compared to assess recovery from historic pollution. ► Distinct spatial and temporal patterns were found in abundance and species composition. ► Results were indicative of improved environmental conditions in Muskegon Lake.
