Abstract
► We developed an IBI for submerged aquatic vegetation in Lake Ontario wetlands. ► Wetlands in urbanized watersheds had communities with decreased biotic integrity. ► Our vegetation IBI is positively associated with wetland bird and fish biodiversity.
