Abstract
⺠A decadal seasonal time series of zooplankton for offshore Lake Michigan was examined. ⺠Zooplankton are under stress from competition from invasive mussels for food. ⺠Invertebrate predation has replaced vertebrate predation as main source of mortality. ⺠Bythotrephes predation is likely a major factor in the decline of some zooplankters. ⺠Bythotrephes benefitted from increased light associated with mussel filtering.
