Abstract
⺠Carrying capacity frameworks were adapted and applied to paddling on Lake Champlain. ⺠Positive indicators include scenery, quiet and solitude, being on the water, wildlife. ⺠Negative indicators include motorboats, shoreline development, invasive vegetation. ⺠Crowding and shoreline development conditions may be near minimum acceptable levels. ⺠Monitoring and management may be needed to maintain quality paddling experiences.
