Abstract
⺠Use of satellite remote sensing for study of the Great Lakes is increasing. ⺠Retrieval algorithms for chlorophyll (chl.) vary in accuracy. ⺠Standard band ratio methods yield estimates proportional to chl. concentration. ⺠Advanced algorithms require detailed determinations of optical properties.
