Abstract
► Degassing of carbon dioxide (increasing pH) and calcium carbonate deposition (decreasing conductivity) occurred as groundwater passed over a travertine deposit. ► pH increased before conductivity decreased. ► Ground water cooled the river in summer and warmed it in winter.
