Abstract
⺠Degassing of carbon dioxide (increasing pH) and calcium carbonate deposition (decreasing conductivity) occurred as groundwater passed over a travertine deposit. ⺠pH increased before conductivity decreased. ⺠Ground water cooled the river in summer and warmed it in winter.
