Abstract
► Invasive Phragmites australis (common reed) is destroying beaches. ► Glyphosate-based herbicide effective in eradicating Phragmites at beaches. ► Application produced very low concentrations of glyphosate in lake and groundwater. ► Concentrations in groundwater dissipate exponentially within a few weeks.
