Abstract
⺠We investigate pharyngeal morphology of round gobies from Lake Erie. ⺠Pharyngeal bones and teeth appear to change throughout life in round gobies. ⺠Small round gobies possess pharyngeal structures to prey on arthropods. ⺠Large round gobies possess pharyngeal structures to prey on dreissenid mussels.
