Abstract
⺠We characterized food web structure and Hg in two Lake Victoria embayments. ⺠Net phytoplankton δ13C and δ15N was driven by trophic status and N-fixation. ⺠Total Hg in fish was consistently below 200 ng/g at both study sites. ⺠We found evidence that trophic status influenced mercury concentrations in fish.
