Abstract
⺠PALSAR satellite imagery was used to map monotypic stands of invasive Phragmites. ⺠This is the first U.S. coastal Great Lakes distribution map of Phragmites australis. ⺠We collected measurements at 1145 wetland field training and validation locations. ⺠28% of the randomly selected field locations had some invasive Phragmites present. ⺠Map shows 24,643 ha of large (> 0.2 ha), dense stands of invasive Phragmites.
