Abstract
⺠Results of an experiment on the propagation of HF radar signal over freshwater ⺠Range performance on freshwater is highly dependent on presence of resonant waves. ⺠Increased power and directional antenna gain increase range. ⺠Predictive models of propagation loss can be used to estimate ranges in fresh water. ⺠HF is a viable technology in a variety of critical freshwater applications.
