Abstract
⺠We studied the nearshore zone of Lake Ontario. ⺠Nearshore zone phosphorus exceeded the 10 μg P/L IJC goal for Lake Ontario. ⺠Elevated phosphorus levels were observed at least 4 km from the shoreline. ⺠A thin band of water exists along the southern coast with a unique water chemistry.
