Abstract
► Semi-Permeable Membrane Devices (SPMD) were used to examine DDT concentrations. ► Comparison of DDT to metabolites DDD and DDE indicates a historic source. ► Higher precipitation increases exposure and DDT uptake. ► High DDT uptake correlates to high sediment DDT concentration. ► SPMD DDT uptake exceeds tissue guidelines for impacting aquatic biota and consumers.
