Abstract
Commissioned by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China Household Electric Appliance Research Institute (CHEARI) researched and evaluated the implementation of Chinese ‘WEEE Catalog’ (including TV sets, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and personal computers) in 2011. Through the evaluations on resources, environment, economy, and social impacts of the products, CHEARI summarized the successful experiences and existing problems during the implementation and management of Chinese WEEE recycling, provided timely information and data and technological supports for the government about WEEE Ordinance and related policies.
