Abstract
A composit catalyst of Graphite Oxide load Co3O4 (GO-Co3O4) was prepared with a simple method, and its performance in the degradation of azo dyes Acid Orange II (AO7) using potassium monopersulfate compound (Oxone) as an oxidant was investigated. The results indicate that GO-Co3O4 can be successfully applied as heterogeneous catalyst to catalytic Oxone and degrade AO7, and the degrading ability is enhanced with increasing temperature; the best catalyst dosage under the experimental condition is 0.01 g, the oxidant dosage is 4 mM.
