Abstract
⺠Acid dissociation constants (pKa) were estimated for MBT and DBT. ⺠The adsorption of MBT and DBT strongly depends on pH. ⺠MBT and DBT adsorption is governed by ionic exchange and hydrophobic interactions. ⺠A model for predicting MBT and DBT adsorption to charcoal is presented.
